First of all, I wanted to tell you that I chose to stay in Canmore because the city is super charming and has better value for your money than Banff. Now, let me tell you a little bit more about my stay at Coast Canmore Hotel & Conference Centre.
Location | Coast Canmore Hotel & Conference Centre
The Coast Canmore Hotel & Conference Centre is located 120km away from Calgary International Airport and the best way to reach the Rockies if you don’t live in Alberta will be probably flying to Calgary.
Coast Canmore Hotel & Conference Centre is also located a few minutes away from the famous Banff National Park and 15 minutes from Kananaskis Country. For sure they are in the heart of the Canadian Rockies.
Rooms | Where to stay in Canmore
Our room was very cozy with a breakfast nook by the patio that overlooked the breathtaking Rocky Mountains. This is where we enjoyed our morning coffee that was provided by the hotel and quite delicious I must add.
The beds were very comfortable, and we were able to sleep like babies after our long days of hiking and riding bikes through the lovely scenery Canmore has to offer.
My room at Hotel
Our room was equipped with 2 queen beds, Smart TV, air conditioning, mini fridge, coffee maker with Starbucks coffee and an iron. In the bathroom there was all you need to stay clean and look good including, shampoo, conditioner, soap, body cream and hairdryer. Oh, and of course a beautiful view of the mountains!
One important thing that I found really cool is that they are an ecofriendly hotel and if you do not require housekeeping for your multi-day stay (for the first 2 days) they will offer you a voucher to enjoy at their in house restaurant, Table Food + Drink.

With all the amazing activities to do at Canmore such as biking, hiking, paddleboarding, canoeing and the list goes on, it was great to have the indoor heated pool and hot tub to relax in after a long day of enjoyment at Coast Canmore Hotel & Conference Centre. No need to bring towels there are plenty there to use for the whole family.

After working up an appetite enjoying Canmore’s vast activities, we enjoyed a delicious dinner at Table Food + Drink located on site near reception for easy delicious access. They have an array of tasty dishes to choose from including vegan options and even to my surprise and delight vegan dessert. Which is rare in any hotel I have ever stayed in.
On a nice sunny day you can enjoy the lovely patio with ample comfortable seating and even a view of the famous Rockies. Even on a not so sunny day you can still enjoy the patio with the heated lamps outside that got you covered.

Even with all the great activities Canmore has to offer such as brewery tours, cultural attractions like Canmore Museum & Geoscience Centre and Artsplace, we still did manage to get a workout in at one of the top hotel gyms we have stayed in.
With a range of free weights, kettlebells, a range of cardiovascular equipment (stepper, treadmill and rower), two new Peloton® bikes and a lululemon® Studio Mirror. Something for all fitness levels at this gym to stay in shape on the go.
